Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends (AARF) is an organization dedicated to rescuing stray, abandoned, and abused animals and placing them into new, loving homes. The animals come into our program from a wide variety of backgrounds. Animals are examined and given any necessary medical treatment. AARF pays for vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and heartworm treatment (if necessary). The animals then live in foster homes until adopted.
Prospective adopters are screened by AARF to insure that the animals will be placed in the best possible environment, become a family member, live indoors, and have a place to safely play. ALL POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST FIRST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION BEFORE BEING CONSIDERED. Adopters must sign a contract insuring the return of the animal in the event that they are no longer able to maintain it. A minimum adoption fee of $225 for dogs and $150 for cats helps to cover medical expenses. Additional donations are always welcome. Please see our FAQs link for any further questions.
