Elliot was found as a stray in December 2022. He got his name from the storm he was found in, storm Elliot! He came to AARF shortly after and left as quickly as the storm he was found in.
Elliot was so sweet and out-going, it’s no wonder he found his forever home after just 3 weeks at AARF!
A woman looking to add a new furry companion to her life looked at all the cats in the AARF adoption center and just couldn’t take her eyes off the goofy and chatty Elliot. He charmed his way right into her heart and now lives out his days with his new family which also consists of a few other kitty friends and his best friend, their white and grey spotted dog!
A year later this owner was looking for another kitty companion!
Winter Melon had a tough time before coming to AARF. She lived in a colony of feral cats with her four kittens. A TNR group caught her and her kittens and released Winter Melon back outside after spaying her. While her kittens were adjusting to indoor life and fighting off a case of upper respiratory infection, Winter Melon was becoming more affectionate with her colony feeder. They quickly realized Winter Melon wasn’t feral, just a scared stray. Winter Melon then made her way to AARF with a couple of other friendly cats in her colony. She had a hard time adjusting to the indoor life. She watched her kittens and her cat friends from her colony all get adopted, but after 6 months at AARF and a lot of TLC, she finally found her forever home with a previous adopter from AARF! The connection was instant. Now Winter Melon lives out her life soaking up all the love with her brother (and former AARF cat) Elliot!
